RESOLUTION NO.
2 A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF
3 TWO (2) REAR LOAD REFUSE TRUCKS; AND
4 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
5 WHEREAS, the City submitted requests for proposals to purchase two read load refuse
6 trucks for the Department of Public Works and, in response to the bid, received sixteen (16) different
7 proposals, and
8 WHEREAS, it was determined that Sterling Trucks of Arkansas, Inc., was the lowest
9 responsible and responsive bidder,
10 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
11 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
12 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to purchase two (2) 25 -cubic yard high
13 compaction refuse collection trucks from Sterling Trucks of Arkansas, Inc., for a combined amount
14 one hundred and eighty eight thousand two hundred and ninety two ($188,292.00) dollars.
15 Section 2. Funds for these purchases are available in Account No. 603- 220 - 2110 -7060-

Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance which shall
remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional
was not originally a part of the ordinance.
Section 4. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions, including by not limited to Little
Rock, Ark., Ordinance No. 18,409 (December 26, 2000) ( "the 2001 Budget ordinance "), are hereby
repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
