ORESOLUTION NO. 10,952
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN EXTENSION OF THE
CONTRACT WITH NEW FUTURES FOR YOUTH TO PROVIDE
YOUTH EMPLOYABILITY, EVALUATION, TECHNICAL
ASSISTANCE, AND VIOLENCE PREVENTION SERVICES.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing quality prevention, intervention
services to enhance public safety, community- building, and youth development for Little Rock youth,
and,
WHEREAS, the current contract with New Futures for Youth has an option for two additional
one -year extensions based on their performance and Little Rock Board of Directors appropriations;
and,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to extend the contract with New Futures for
Youth to provide youth employability, technical assistance, and violence prevention services to Little
Rock residents.
SECTION 2. The contract's term shall be for one year, from January 1, 2001 to December 31,
2001, and may be extended for one additional one -year term upon satisfactory performance and mutual
agreement of the parties.
SECTION 3. Funding for this contract shall not exceed $195,000 and shall come from
prevention, intervention and treatment funds.
SECTION 4. Any contract entered into prior to the passage of the City Budget Ordinance for
the Year 2001 shall contain a non - appropriation clause.
