A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE DEEDS TO CONVEY CERTAIN PROPERTIES IN FEE SMIPLE
ABSOLUTE WITH A REVERTER TO THE UNITED STATES AS PART OF
THE CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL NATIONAL PARK; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City acquired title to certain properties near Central High School
as part of an effort to create a museum of this historic location, and
WHEREAS, the United States government has created a national park site at the
high school and the area surrounding the high school, and
WHEREAS, the United States government has agreed to accept title to the
property in fee simple absolute with a reverter to the City should the property eves be
abandoned by the government for use for park purposes,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute deeds approved
as to form by the City Attorney which convey the properties listed below, that are
located in the vicinity of Little Rock Central High School, to the United States
government in fee simple absolute, with a reverter to the City should the United States
abandon use of these properties for park purposes.
Section 2. The legal description of the properties is as follows:
(A) Tract 1: The South 50 feet of Lots 10, 11 and 12, Block 6, Park
Addition, Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas;
(B) Tract 2: The North 100 feet of Lot 3 and the West 24 feet of
the North 100 feet of Lot 2, Block 15, McDonald and Wheeler
Addition, Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas;

1 (C) Tract 3: Part of Block 15, McDonald and Wheeler's Addition
2 to the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, more
3 particularly described as follows, to -wit: Beginning 84 feet East of
4 the Southeast corner of the intersection of 14th Street and Park
s Avenue; thence South 100 feet; thence East 80 feet; thence North
6 50 feet; thence East 16 feet; thence North 50 feet; thence West along
7 the South boundary of 14th Street the point of beginning.
8 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item,
9 sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid
10 or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
11 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
12 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
13 resolution.
14 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,
15 that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the
16 extent of such inconsistency.
