109190 0 1 RESOLUTION NO. 10,919 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF 15 4 PURSUIT SEDANS FROM LANDERS FORD FOR THE LITTLE 5 ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT AS AVAILABLE WITH THE 2000 6 STATE CONTRACT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 7 8 WHEREAS, there is a need in the Little Rock Police Department to purchase 9 additional pursuit sedans from Landers Ford, and 10 WHEREAS, it is possible to purchase 15 such sedans from the 2000 State 11 Contract (ST -01- 0194), and to use funds that will actually be allocated in the 2001 12 replacement budget account, 13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 14 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 15 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to approve the purchase of 15 pursuit 16 sedans for the Little Rock Police Department from Landers Ford in accordance with the 2000 17 State Contract ST -01 -0194. The amount for this purchase three hundred and twenty two 18 thousand, eight hundred and thirty dollars ($322,830.00). 19 Section 2. Since the payment for these vehicles will not actually be due,unti12001 20 when the vehicles are delivered, the funds shall be available in replacement budget account No. 21 600 - 360 - 6020 - 7060 -10. This resolution shall be automatically null and void should the Board 22 not provide sufficient funds in the 2001 replacement budget account to cover the cost of these 23 vehicles. The Board approves the placement of this order and this purchase methodology 24 because it recognizes that if the order is not placed as quickly as possible, the delay in delivery 25 of the cars could be as much as an entire calendar year. 26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, item, sentence, clause, 27 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such 28 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall 29 remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or 30 unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution. 0 0 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
