3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY
4 MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH
5 AMERI -KART CORPORATION FOR THE PURCHASE
6 OF 1500 90- GALLON. SOLID WASTE CONTAINERS
7 FOR RESIDENTIAL GARBAGE COLLECTION; AND
s FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, the City provides 90 -gallon solid waste containers to residences to
11 be used for the collection of household wastes, and
12 WHEREAS, it is periodically necessary to replenish the stock of containers to
13 serve new homes and, to replace damaged or stolen carts, and
14 WHEREAS, after a competitive bid process Ameri-Kart Corporation was deemed
15 the lowest responsible and responsive bidder,
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
11 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Is Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Ameri-Kart
19 Corporation in an amount not to exceed fifty seven thousand seven hundred and fifty dollars
20 ($57,750) to purchase one thousand five hundred (1500) 90 -gallon solid waste containers to be
21 used by the City for residential solid waste customer.
22 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available in Account No. 603 - 220 - 2110 -7119.
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title section, paragraph, subparagraph, item,
24 sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
25 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the
26 resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged
27 invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution.
28 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
29 inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such
30 inconsistency.
