108771 2 0 0 RESOLUTION NO. 10,877 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A TWO YEAR 4 EXTENSION OF THE AGREEMENT WITH RISK s MANAGEMENT RESOURCES TO PROVIDE THIRD 6 PARTY ADMINISTRATION FOR THE CITY'S SELF - 7 INSURED WORKERS' COMPENSATION PROGRAM; s AND FOR OTHER. PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, after a competitive selection process the City entered into an I agreement with Risk Management Resources ( "RMR ") to provide third party 12 administration for the City's self - insured workers' compensation program, and 13 WHEREAS, this agreement permitted up to three one year renewals, and 14 WHEREAS, RMR has provided outstanding service during the first year of the 15 agreement, has agreed with the City to provide one year of additional service at no 16 increase in cost, and a third year of service at an increase of no more than five percent 17 (5 %) through agreement reached with the City, is NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF 19 DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 20 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into two one year extensions 21 with RMR to provide third party administration services for the City's self - insured 22 workers' compensation program, provided that there will be no increase in cost to the 23 City during the first year of extension, and no more than a five percent (5 %) increase in 24 cost during the second year of the extension. 25 Section 2. Funds for this agreement have already been included in a budget year 26 2000 line item, and will be included in a similar line item for the 2001 budget ordinance, 27 and the 2002 budget ordinance. 28 Section 3. Severabi/ity. In the event any title, section, subsection, paragraph, 29 subparagraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or 1 adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not 2 affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect 3 as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally 4 a part of the resolution. 5 Section 4. Repealer.
