10850W 0 1 RESOLUTION NO. 10.850 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE 4 OF VEHICLE REPLACEMENT PARTS; AND FOR s OTHER PURPOSES. .c 7 WHEREAS, the City periodically needs replacement parts for small vehicles, and s WHEREAS, after a competitive bidding process the City Manager is prepared to 9 recommend the lowest responsible and responsive bidder to be awarded a contract 10 to supply these parts, 11 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 12 THE CITY OF L=E ROCK, ARKANSAS: 13 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with NAPA 14 Auto Parts for a contract to provide light duty vehicle replacement parts to the City as needed. 15 Section 2. The City Manager is further authorized to enter into an agreement with 16 Crow Burlingame to provide light duty vehicle replacement parts in those situations where 17 NAPA is unable timely to provide a part for a job that is in progress. 18 Section 3. Funds for this contract are available in Account No. 600- 360- 6040 -9201- 19 01. 20 Section 4. The actual amount of this contract is impossible to determine since the 21 actual parts purchased will be purchased on an as needed basis; however, it is estimated, based 22 upon prior years performances, that the contract will be worth approximately one hundred and 23 twenty five thousand dollars ($125,000) for a one year period; further, this amount, and 24 substantially more, is available in the above listed account and can meet virtually any contract 25 demands without the need to transfer additional funds into the account. 26 Section 5. Sewrabitiry. In the event any title, subtitle, chapter, subchapter, section, 27 subsection, subdivision, paragraph, subparagraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of 28 this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full ,.. ... �. .. r � , .. ..;.. .... s�. ,. .. ..:f'. ... , 1. Section 6. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
