1 RESOLUTION NO. 10,820 -A
2 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A CONTRACT
3 BETWEEN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK AND CWR
4 CONSTRUCTION, INC., FOR REPAIRS TO THE
5 ARSENAL BUILDING IN MacARTHUR PARK; AND
6 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
7 WHEREAS, the Arsenal Building in MacArthur Park was damaged in the January 21,
8 1999, tornado, and
9 WHEREAS, repair to the historic building, which was designed by the architecture firm
10 of Steelman, Connell & Moseley, will be partially reimbursed with insurance proceeds, and
11 WHEREAS, -after a competitive bidding process, CWR. Construction, Inc., was selected
12 for this project,
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
14 DIRECTIONS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
15 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with CWR
16 Construction, Inc., in an amount not to exceed one hundred and twenty eight thousand six
17 hundred and fourteen dollars ($128,614.00) for repairs to the MacArthur Park Historic Arsenal
18 Building, designed by Steelman Connell Moseley Architects.
19 Section 2. Funds for this contract are available in Account No.. 210-230-A335 and
20 include insurance proceeds.
