10819-A1 RESOLUTION NO. 10, 819 - A 2 A RESOLUTION TO SET MAY 30, 2000, AS THE 3 DATE FOR A PUBLIC-HEARING ON THE CITY'S 4 REQUEST TO CLOSE RINGO STREET BETWEEN 5 THE NORTH RIGHT -OF -WAY LINE OF LA HARPE 6 BOULEVARD AND SOUTH OF THE ALLEY IN 7 BLOCK 255, ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; TO 8 ANNOUNCE THAT A PLANNED INDUSTRIAL 9 DEVELOPMENT FOR USE BY THE NATIONAL 10 ARCHIVES WILL ALSO BE HEARD ON THAT DATE; 11 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 12 WHEREAS, the City has filed a notice of its intent to close Ringo Street between 13 the North right -of -way line of LaHarpe Boulevard and South of the alley in Block 255, 14 Original City of Little Rock, and 15 WHEREAS, this street closure is to accommodate a planned industrial 16 development on behalf of the National Archives as it leases space to archive and store 17 certain papers of President Clinton which are intended for the William Jefferson Clinton 18 Presidential Library, and 19 WHEREAS, both the street closure and the planned industrial development 20 application shall be considered by the Board of Directors at a reconvened meeting on 21 May 30, 2000, 22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 23 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 24 Section 1. A hearing on the City's plan to close a portion of Ringo Street between 25 the North right -of -way line of LaHarpe Boulevard and south of the alley in Block 255 of the 26 Original City of Little Rock shall be held at 4:00 p.m. on May 30, 2000, during a reconvened 27 meeting of the Board of Directors. 28 Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing in the 29 manner prescribed by law, and to publish said notice once a week for two (2) consecutive weeks 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 in a newspaper published in Pulaski County, Arkansas, and having general circulation within the City of Little Rock, Arkansas. Section 3. The Board further notes that the plans for a proposed planned industrial development for the National Archives shall also be considered on that date at that time, but because of the need for immediate action on this request, this particular development shall not be considered by the Planning Commission before the May 30 meeting; however, copies of the proposed development are on file in the Office of Planning and Development, 723 West Markham, Little Rock, Arkansas, and can be viewed by any interested parties during normal business hours.
