1 RESOLUTION NO. 10.803
2 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
3 ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THOMAS
4 CONSTRUCTION OF ROSE BUD, INCORPORATED, FOR
5 THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING THE FINAL COVER
6 ON CELL 1 OF THE CLASS I LANDFILL.
7 WHEREAS, the Division of Solid Waste Services Class I landfill is planned to be
8 constructed in nine (9) phases or cells; and
9 WHEREAS, as each cell is filled to permitted capacity a final cover must be placed over the
10 completed cell in accordance with state and federal regulations; and
11 WHEREAS, Cell 1 is now filled to permitted capacity.
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
13 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
14 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a construction contract
15 agreement with Thomas Construction of Rose Bud, Incorporated, in the amount of Four Hundred
16 Nine Thousand Seven Hundred Ninety and no 1 /00 Dollars ($409,790.00) plus ten percent (10 %)
17 contingency for the construction of the final cover on Cell 1 of the Class I landfill.
18 Section 2. Funding for this project is available from the Solid Waste Revenue Bond Fund.
