RESOLUTION NO. 10,745
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, CERTIFYING LOCAL
GOVERNMENT ENDORSEMENT OF LEXICON, INC. TO
PARTICIPATE IN THE ADVANTAGE ARKANSAS PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the local government must endorse a business or enterprise to
participate in the Advantage Arkansas Program and benefit from the exemptions as
provided in the Advantage Arkansas Program Regulations of 1993 (formerly the
Arkansas Enterprise Zone Program); and
WHEREAS, said endorsement must be made on specific forms available from
AIDC; and
WHEREAS, Lexicon, Inc., located at 8900 Fourche Dam Pike, has been
determined by the management of the Advantage Arkansas Program as an appropriate
applicant; and
WHEREAS, Lexicon, Inc. has agreed to furnish to management of the Advantage
Arkansas Program all necessary information for compliance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1 -A. Lexicon, Inc. shall be endorsed by the City of Little Rock for
benefit from the refunds and tax credits as provided in the Advantage Arkansas Program
Regulations of 1993, through June 30, 1999, including any local City gross receipts and
compensating use taxes.
SECTION 1 -B. The Department of Finance and Administration shall be
authorized to refund local sales and use taxes to Lexicon, Inc.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is authorized to sign the required Certificate of Local
Government Endorsement.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect and be in full force from and after
its adoption and approval.
