A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH PATTON WRECKING
COMPANY TO DEMOLISH AND REMOVE THE CITY
OWNED TORNADO DESTROYED COMMERCIAL BUILDING
AT 1301 -1319 EAST 2ND STREET.
WHEREAS, the commercial structure located at 1301 -1319 East 2nd Street was
destroyed in the January 21, 1999, tornado; and
WHEREAS, the previous owner donated this property to the City immediately
following the tornado.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to execute a contract with Patton
Wrecking, the lowest responsible bidder, in an amount not to exceed $89,700 to demolish
and remove the commercial building located at 1301 -1319 East 2nd Street.
SECTION 2. Funding for this project has been approved by FEMA in accordance
with existing FEMA procedures and rates.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption.
