3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH SCRUGGS EQUIPMENT
5 COMPANY, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $116,414 FOR THE
6 PURCHASE OF ONE (1) MECHANICAL STREET SWEEPER
7 FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT.

9 WHEREAS, the new mechanical sweeper will replace the existing street sweeper
10 which is 11 years old; and
11 WHEREAS, the old sweeper has been detrimental to the City's sweeping program
12 due to excessive downtime.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
14 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
15 SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Scruggs
16 Equipment Company, Inc., in the amount of $116,414 for the purchase of one (1) high, side
17 dump mechanical sweeper for the Public Works Department.
18 SECTION 2. Funding for this project is available in account number 600- 360 -6020-
19 6021- 7060 -10.
20 SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
21 adoption.
