106311 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 7'. 0 0 RESOLUTION NO. 10,631 A RESOLUTION TO WAIVE THE PROVISIONS OF LITTLE ROCK, ARK., RESOLUTION NO. 8,096 (FEBRUARY 1, 1989) TO ALLOW THE BOARD TO CONSIDER THE REAPPOINTMENT OF TWO EDUCATION COMMISSION MEMBERS TO A THIRD TERM OF SERVICE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 502 WHEREAS, Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 8,096 (February 1, 1989) ( "LRR 8,096 ") provides that the policy of the Board of Directors will be to limit an individual's participation on City Boards and Commissions to two complete terms of service, and WHEREAS, Linda Young Austin and Nancy Rousseau are each serving a second term on the Little Rock Education Commission and desire to be considered for a third appointment to the Commission after the expiration of their respective second terms, and WHEREAS, Linda Young Austin's second term expires on November 1, 1999 and Nancy Rousseau's second terns expires on November 1, 2000, and WHEREAS, on July 8, 1999, the Little Rock Education Commission voted to recommend to the Board that Linda Young Austin and Nancy Rousseau each be eligible for serving a third term as members of the Education Commission in order to help maintain a sense of continuity of the Commission. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. Section 1 of LRR 8,096 is hereby waived to allow the Board to consider the reappointment of Linda Young Austin and Nancy Rousseau to a third term to the Little Rock Education Commission when their respective Commission terms expire.
