3 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
4 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, CERTIFYING LOCAL
5 GOVERNMENT ENDORSEMENT OF DILLARD'S, INC. AND
SUBSIDIARIES TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ADVANTAGE
6 ARKANSAS PROGRAM.

8 WHEREAS, the local government must endorse a business or enterprise to
9 participate in the Advantage Arkansas Program and benefit from the exemptions as
10
11 provided in the Advantage Arkansas Program Regulations of 1993 (formerly the
12 Arkansas Enterprise Zone Program); and
13 WHEREAS, said endorsement must be made on specific forms available from
14
15 AIDC; and
16 WHEREAS, Dillard's, Inc. and Subsidiaries, located at 1600 Cantrell Road, have
17 been determined by the management of the Advantage Arkansas Program as an
18
19 appropriate applicant; and
20 WHEREAS, Dillard's, Inc. and Subsidiaries have agreed to furnish to
21 management of the Advantage Arkansas Program all necessary information for
22
23 compliance.
24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
25 DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:

27 SECTION 1 -A. Dillard's, Inc. and Subsidiaries shall be endorsed by the City of
28 Little Rock for benefit from the refunds and tax credits as provided in the Advantage
29 Arkansas Program Regulations of 1993, through June 30, 1999, including any local City
30
31 gross receipts and compensating use taxes.
32 SECTION 1 -B. The Department of Finance and Administration shall be
33 authorized to refund local sales and use taxes to Dillard's, Inc. and Subsidiaries.

35 SECTION 2. The Mayor is authorized to sign the required Certificate of Local
36 Government Endorsement.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect and be in full force from and after
its adoption and approval.
