10450I RESOLUTION 10,450 • 2 3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH UAMS ARKANSAS CARES, FOR 19 5 WOMEN'S EVENING OUTPATIENT TREATMENT SERVICES IN 1999; 1 6 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 7 8 WHEREAS, Little Rock Budget Ordinance 17,897, (December 15, 1998) appropriated funds for 9 FUTURE Little Rock Special Projects; and, 10 WHEREAS, the City seeks to contract with an organization to provide women's evening 1 1 outpatient substance abuse treatment services for Little Rock residents; and, 12 WHEREAS, the City desires to enter into a one -year contract with UAMS Arkansas CARES to 13 provide organized nonresidential substance abuse treatment services to Little Rock women . 14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE 15 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 16 SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with UAMS Arkansas 17 CARES, for an amount not to exceed $157,500, for the tern of January 1, 1999, through December 31, 18 1999. Said contract will allow for two additional one -year extensions, at the sole option of the City based 19 upon acceptable performance and sufficient funding. 20 SECTION 2.
