WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing quality prevention and intervention services for Little Rock youth, and, WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock has contracted with the following ten community -based organizations; and, based on their 1998 performance they are recommended for the final contract extension in a three year contract option; and, WHEREAS, the PIT Advisory Committee recommended that each organization should be contracted to purchase one -time program/operation enhancement items with $10,000 of the Children's Trust Fund monies. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to extend contracts with: Operations Enhancement Program Budget Fund 1. Pros Atty Pre- Charging Diversion Program $34,280 +$10,000 2. Quapaw Area Boy Scouts $26,967 +$10,000 3. Joseph Pfeiffer Camp $30,000 +$10,000 4. Greater Friendship $32,354 +$10,000 5. Ouachita Council of Girl Scouts $33,919 +$10,000 6. Big Brothers/Big Sisters $34,002 +$10,000 7. Watershed, Inc. $36,826 +$10,000 8. Philander Smith Brother to Brother $37,040 +$10,000 9. Shepherd's Ranch $49,475 +$10,000 10. Arkansas Arts Center $37,190 +$10,000 SECTION 2. The contract will be for a one -year term, beginning on January 1, 1999 and ending no later than December 31, 1999. SECTION 3. Contingent upon Little Rock Board of Directors adoption of the 1999 City of budget, the operational budgets of the contracts shall come from Future -Little Rock tax revenue specified for prevention, intervention and treatment programs and the Enhancement Funds shall come from the Children's Trust Fund.
