3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
4 TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH JOHN WRIGHT
5 CONSTRUCTION COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OF
6 $59,889 FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW AFFORDABLE
7 HOME AT 8200 WEST 23RD STREET A HOME
8 INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP PROJECT FOR THE
9 CDBG AND HOUSING PROGRAMS DIVISION.

11 WHEREAS, the proposal is consistent with the City's Consolidated Plan, which was
12 developed with extensive citizen participation, and identified the provision of standard,
13 affordable housing to low income persons as a high priority; and
14 WHEREAS, the CDBG and Housing Programs Division constructs new affordable
15 single family housing for sale to low- income persons; and
16 WHEREAS, the lot at 8200 West 23rd Sheet was acquired as part of sixteen (16) lots
17 purchased for construction of single family residential units in the John Barrow area.
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
19 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
20 SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with John Wright
21 Construction Company in the amount of $59,889 to construct a new affordable home at 8200
22 West 23rd Street.
23 SECTION 2. Funding for this project is available from the HOME Investment
24 Partnership Program.
25 SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
26 adoption.
