A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ACCEPT BIDS AND AWARD A CONTRACT TO SCOTT
CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF
$83,675 FOR THE PURCHASE OF AN 850C CASE WIDE
TRACK DOZER FOR THE OPERATIONS DIVISION OF THE
PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to accept bids and award a contract to Scott
Construction Equipment, the low bidder meeting specifications, in an amount not to exceed $83,675
for the purchase of an 850C case wide track dozer for the Operations Division of the Public Works
Department.
SECTION 2. Funds are available for this in account number 499 - 220 -8664.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.

submitted by Scott Construction Equipment be accepted. This dozer meets all bid
specifications as submitted.
The low bid submitted by Head and Engquist Equipment does not meet the City of Little
Rock's bid specification in the following areas: -
1. Track gauge is only 61 ". Bid specification calls for 66 ".
2. Ground clearance is only 12.7 ". Bid specification calls for 13 ".
3. Blade capacity is only 1.9 cu. yd. Bid specification calls for 2.1 cu yd.
4. Blade width is only 111 ". Bid specification calls for 121 ".
