A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE LITTLE
ROCK BOYS CLUB TO OPERATE A COMMUNITY
BASED PREVENTION PROGRAM AT THE THRASHER
BOYS CLUB IN THE SOUTH END OF LITTLE ROCK.
WHEREAS, the PIT Advisory Group has evaluated the availability prevention programs
in various parts of the City; and,
WHEREAS, the PIT Advisory Group recommends the establishment of a community -
based prevention program in the SouthEnd; and,
WHEREAS, the PIT Advisory Group recommends the use of Children's Trust Fund
moneys to finance the program.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Little Rock
Boys Club to operate a community -based prevention program at the Thrasher Boys Club in the
South End community of Little Rock.
SECTION 2. The contract will be for one -year and may be extended for one year, based
on a review of programmatic and financial performance and Board appropriations.
SECTION 3. The contract amount shall not exceed $50,000 per year and will be funded
through the Children's Trust Fund.
