7 CONTRACT TO KUSTOM SIGNAL, INC., FOR THE

9 PURCHASE OF ONE HUNDRED TWENTY -FIVE
10 (125) AUDIO/VIDEO UNITS FOR THE POLICE

DEPARTMENT'S MARKED VEHICLES.

14 WHEREAS, the video cameras with audio capability will be operated in the
15
16 Police Department's patrol vehicles; and
17 WHEREAS, the equipment consists of a video camera, control head, recording
18 device, and a portable microphone to be worn by police officers; and
19
20 WHEREAS, the one hundred twenty-five (125) units will sufficiently equip all
21 first - response marked vehicles.

23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
24 DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
25 SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to accept bids and award a
26
27 contract to Kustom Signal, Incorporated of Lenexa, Kansas, in an amount not to exceed
28 $649,178 for the purchase of one hundred twenty-five (125) audio /video units for the
29 Little Rock Police Department.

31 SECTION 2. Funds area available for this purchase from the 1997 Local Law
32 Enforcement Block Grant, account number 100- 350 -5000 -6081.

34 SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
35 adoption.
