A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
AWARD A CONTRACT TO TAMKIN FIBER
CORPORATION FOR A BROADBAND FIBER NETWORK
FEASIBILITY STUDY IN THE AMOUNT OF $20,000.

WHEREAS, the Board of Directors asked staff to pursue a feasibility study to examine
alternative to traditional cable television service for Little Rock citizens; and
WHEREAS, the City conducted a competitive process to secure the most qualified firm to
perform the work; and
WHEREAS, Tamkin Fiber Corporation responded to the City's Request for Proposals.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to award a contract to Tamkin Fiber
Corporation in the amount of $20,000 for a Broadband Fiber Network Feasibility Study.
SECTION 2. Funds are available for this purpose from cable television franchise fee receipts.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
