RESOLUTION NO. 10,240
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT WITH
THOMAS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR
DEVELOPMENT OF AN IRRIGATION SYSTEM FOR WAR
MEMORIAL GOLF COURSE.

WHEREAS, War Memorial Golf Course is an executive golf course that attracts numerous
golfers due to its size and accessibility to central Little Rock; and
.WHEREAS, the course also serves as a parking lot for Arkansas Razorback games in
addition to its heavy usage; and
WHEREAS, an irrigation system would minimize the stress on the turf from these uses and
provide a healthy, quality golf course.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Thomas
Construction Company for development of an irrigation system for War Memorial Golf Course.
SECTION 2. Funds will be available with the issuance of future Revenue Bonds. Funds will
be "borrowed" from existing operating accounts.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
