10218•� � "M mom q6 Z m == = M M a 1 RESOLUTION NO. 10.218 0. 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK, ARK. 4 10,131 (NOVEMBER 18, 1997) TO EXTEND BY 120 s DAYS THE TIME FOR CREATION OF A UNIVERSITY e REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT; AND FOR OTHER 7 PURPOSES. a 9 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors adopted Little Rock, Ark.; Resolution No. 10,131 10 on November 18, 1997, which declared the intent to create a redevelopment district with I overlay features from Interstate -30 to Asher Avenue, and 12 WHEREAS, this resolution included a 120 day moratorium on enforcement of the City 13 sign ordinances in this area, and 14 WHEREAS, that initial 120 days is about to expire and the work on this district is not is yet completed, 16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS r OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: is SECTION 1. Section 2 of LRR 10,131 is hereby amended to read as follows: 19 During the development of this plan, but for a period not to exceed 20 240 days from the adoption of this resolution, the Director of Planning 21 & Development may permit a temporary waiver of the requirements of 22 City sign ordinances as means of experimentation with ideas that 23 property owners believe would assist in the redevelopment of this area, 24 provided that such a waiver is applied for by a property owner, or the 25 owner's designated representative, is granted in writing, and shall be in 2e effect for no more than the 240 days set forth in this section. 27 SECTION 2. It is the intent of the Board of Directors that the 240 day period referred 2e to in Section 1 above runs from November 18, 1997, the date of adoption of Little Rock, Ark., 29 Resolution 10,131; it is further the intent of the Board of Directors that this grant of authority 30 to the Director of Planning & Development is to assist in development of criteria for this Page 1 of 2 I : ..
