RESOLUTION NO. 10,214
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH PAUL DAVIS
SYSTEMS IN THE AMOUNT OF $108,650 FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF TWO NEW AFFORDABLE
HOMES AT 5005 WEST 28TH STREET AND 5019 WEST
28TH STREET.
WHEREAS; the proposal is consistent with the City's Consolidated Plan, which was
developed with extensive citizen participation, and identified the provision of standard,
affordable housing to low income persons as having a priority; and
WHEREAS, the City and UALR have partnered in a number of projects aimed at
revitalizing an area in the Oak Forest Community; and
WHEREAS, the houses will be built by independent contractors and sold to low
income families.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract to with Paul
Davis Systems, the low bidder meeting specifications, in an amount not to exceed $108,650
for the construction of two new affordable homes at 5005 West 28th Street and 5019 West
28th Street.
SECTION 2. Funding for this project is available from the HOME Investment
Partnership Program with one -half of the cost being reimbursed by UALR upon completion
of the project.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption.
