5 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
6 TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH AMARACO
7 ENTERPRISES IN THE AMOUNT OF $107,800 FOR THE

CONSTRUCTION OF TWO NEW AFFORDABLE

10 HOMES AT 5009 WEST 28TH STREET AND 5015 WEST

14 WHEREAS; the proposal is consistent with the City's Consolidated Plan, which was
15 developed with extensive citizen participation, and identified the provision of standard,
16 affordable housing to low income persons as having a priority; and
17
18 WHEREAS, the City and UALR have partnered in a number of projects aimed at
19 revitalizing an area in the Oak Forest Community; and
20 WHEREAS, the houses will be built by independent contractors and sold to low
21
income families.

23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
24 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
25 SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract to with Amaraco
26
27 Enterprises, the low bidder meeting specifications, in an amount not to exceed $107,800 for
28 the construction of two new affordable homes at 5009 West 28th Street and 5015 West 28th
29 Street.

31 SECTION 2. Funding for this project is available from the HOME Investment
32 Partnership Program with one -half of the cost being reimbursed by UALR upon completion
33 of the project..

SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
35
36 adoption.
