A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH NATHANIEL SAINE
CONSTRUCTION, INC. TO DEMOLISH AND REBUILD THE
ALERT CENTER AT 1100 WEST 33RD STREET.

WHEREAS, the Alert Center at 1100 West 33rd Street was about two years old when it was
burned on December 30, 1997.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Nathaniel Saine
Construction, Inc., the low bidder meeting specifications, in an amount not to exceed $64,800 to
demolish the current burned structure and rebuild a new building on the existing slab.
SECTION 2. Funding for this project is available by the City of Little Rock providing the
deductible in the amount of $25,000 and the City's insurance company furnishing the balance of
$39,800 to rebuild the structure and the total amount required to replace the contents.
