RESOLUTION NO. 10,183
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR DESIGN OF THE
ARKANSAS HOMESTEAD AT THE LITTLE ROCK ZOO.
WHEREAS, Friends of the Zoo, Zoo and Parks staff have been working; together over the
past several years building a consensus of direction for the Zoo; and
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Plan was completed and early action projects have been
implemented to initiate its realization; and
WHEREAS, estimated to cost approximately $2.3 million, this project marks the first major
improvement identified in the Redevelopment Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Design Consortium,
Ltd. in the amount of $344,000 for design services for the Arkansas Homestead, a multiple exhibit in
the Zoo.
SECTION 2. Funding for this project is available from the 1995 Bond Issue account number
303 - 230 -0478.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
