5 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, CERTIFYING LOCAL
6 GOVERNMENT ENDORSEMENT OF WESTERN FOODS, INC.
7 TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ARKANSAS ENTERPRISE ZONE
PROGRAM.

10 WHEREAS, the local government must endorse a business or enterprise to
11
12 participate in the Arkansas Enterprise Zone Program and benefit from the exemptions as
13 provided in the Arkansas Enterprise Zone Program Regulations of 1993, and
14 WHEREAS, said endorsement must be made on specific forms available from
15
16 AIDC, and
17 WHEREAS, Western Foods, Inc., located at 4717 Asher Avenue, has been
18 determined by the management of the Enterprise Zone as an appropriate applicant, and
19
WHEREAS, Western Foods, Inc. has agreed to furnish to management of the
20
21 Enterprise Zone all necessary information for compliance.
22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
23 DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:

25 SECTION 1 -A. Western Foods, Inc. shall be endorsed by the City of Little Rock
26 for benefit from the refunds and tax credits as provided in the Arkansas Enterprise Zone
27 Program Regulations of 1993, through June 30, 1999, including any local City gross
28
29 receipts and compensating use taxes.
30 SECTION 1 -B. The Department of Finance and Administration shall be
31 authorized to refund local sales and use taxes to Western Foods, Inc.

33 SECTION 2. The Mayor is authorized to sign the required Certificate of Local
34 Government Endorsement.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect and be in full force from and after
its adoption and approval.
