A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO RENEW
THE CONTRACT WITH AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL GROUP (AIG)
FOR ACCIDENTAL DEATH AND DISMEMBERMENT INSURANCE
COVERAGE FOR CITY EMPLOYEES FOR A ONE YEAR PERIOD
EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 1998.

WHEREAS, American International Group (AIG) is the carrier for accidental death and
dismemberment insurance coverage provided the City to regular full -time employees; and
WHEREAS, AIG proposed a two -year rate guarantee and this renewal covers the
second year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to renew the contract with American
International Group (AIG) for AD &D insurance coverage for City employees for a one year
period effective January 1, 1998.
SECTION 2. Funding for this project has been included in the proposed 1998 budget.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect fi•om and after its adoption.
