A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN ENGINEERING
SERVICES CONTRACT WITH GRIMES CONSULTING
ENGINEERS FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION AND /OR
WIDENING OF SEGMENTS OF NAPA VALLEY FROM
HINSON ROAD TO BOWMAN ROAD, A JOINT
PROJECT WITH THE ARKANSAS HIGHWAY AND
TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT UTILIZING
INTERMODAL SURFACE TRANSPORTATION
EFFICIENCY ACT ( ISTEA) MONIES.
WHEREAS, this project will provide for the development of plans,
specifications, contract documents, and estimates for the reconstruction and/or widening
of Napa Valley.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an engineering
services contract with Grimes Consulting Engineers, the low bidder meeting
specifications, in the amount of $132,719.59 ($120,654.17 + 10% contingency - 80%
ISTEA - 20% City) for the reconstruction and/or widening of segments of Napa Valley
from Hinson Road to Bowman Road, a joint project with the AHTD utilizing ISTEA
monies.
SECTION 2. Funding for this project is available in account number 215 -220-
0647.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption.
