A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN ENGINEERING
SERVICES CONTRACT WITH CARTER & BURGESS,
INC., CONSULTING ENGINEERS FOR THE
RECONSTRUCTION AND /OR WIDENING OF
UNIVERSITY AVENUE, PHASE II FROM ASHER
AVENUE TO WEST 28TH STREET, A JOINT PROJECT
WITH THE ARKANSAS HIGHWAY AND
TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT UTILIZING
INTERMODAL SURFACE TRANSPORTATION
EFFICIENCY ACT ( ISTEA) MONIES.
WHEREAS, this project will provide for the development of plans,
specifications, contract documents, and estimates for the reconstruction and/or widening
of University Avenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an engineering
services contract with Carter & Burgess, Inc., the low bidder meeting specifications, in
the amount of $152,262 ($138,420 + 10% contingency - 80% ISTEA - 20% City) for the
reconstruction and/or widening of University Avenue, Phase II, from Asher Avenue to
West 28' Street, a joint project with the AHTD utilizing ISTEA monies.
SECTION 2. Funding for this project is available in account number 215 -220-
0645.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption.
