A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO AWARD A CONTRACT TO MORRIS
AND MCDANIEL, INC. FOR THE POLICE
PERSONNEL PROMOTION PROCEDURES PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the systems, tests, and processes utilized by the City for promotion
of uniformed police personnel are reviewed continuously by the Human Resources staff
to ensure efficiency, fairness and legal compliance; and
WHEREAS, periodic outside professional evaluation and assistance in the
development, validation, and implementation of screening and ranking components is
needed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITI' OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Morris
and McDaniel, Inc., the most qualified bidder meeting specifications, for the police
personnel promotion procedures project.
SECTION 2. Funding for this project in the amount of $35,000 will come from
the 1997 Human Resources budget with the remainder coming from unused special
projects accounts ($23,034.76) and Human Resources budget line items for a total of
$82,750.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption.
