4 THE PETITION TO ABANDON AND CLOSE PORTIONS
5 OF JEFFERSON DRIVE, MONROE DRIVE, HIGHLAND
6 CIRCLE, PINEHH L TERRACE AND ALL UNNAMED
7 STREETS, ALLEYS AND RIGHTS -OF -WAY, WITHIN
8 THE BOUNDARIES OF THE FORMER HIGHLAND
9 PARK PUBLIC HOUSING DEVELOPMENT.

11 WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Board of Directors of the City of Little
12 Rock, Arkansas, on the 16th day of July, 1997 asking the Board of Directors to vacate and
13 abandon a portion of rights of way described as follows:

15 Portions of Jefferson Drive, Monroe Drive, Highland Circle, Pinehill
16 Terrace and all unnamed streets, alleys and rights -of -way, platted and
unplatted, within the boundaries of the former Highland Park public housing
17 development.

19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
20 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:

22 SECTION 1. The hearing on said Petition shall be held at the meeting of the Board of
23 Directors in the City Hall at 6:00 o'clock P.M. on the 19th day of Aupu s t 11997.
24 SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing in the
25 manner prescribed by law by publication once a week for two (2) consecutive weeks in a
26 newspaper published in Pulaski County, Arkansas, and having general circulation in the City
27 of Little Rock.
