A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ACCEPT BIDS AND AWARD A CONTRACT TO RONALD
SURRETT CONTRACTING, INC. FOR CONSTRUCTION OF
IMPROVEMENTS TO BOOKER STREET FROM ASHER
AVENUE TO ROOSEVELT, A 1988 CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT BOND PROJECT.

WHEREAS, this project will widen the existing street to 27 feet with curb and gutter,
sidewalk, and underground storm drainage facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to accept bids and award a contract to Ronald
Surrett Contracting, Inc., the lowest bidder meeting specifications, in an amount not to exceed
$283,256 ($257,505.21 + 10% contingency) for construction improvements to Booker Street from
Asher Avenue to Roosevelt, a 1988 Capital Improvement Bond Project.
SECTION 2. Funding for this project is available in account number 301 - 220 -0061.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and ellect from and after its adoption.
