A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF $50,000 I ROM THE
1995 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BOND FUND TO COMPLETE THE
CONSTRUCTION OF GILLAM BATHHOUSE AND RELATED
IMPROVEMENTS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
INTO A CONTRACT WITH DELTA, INC. FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE
GILLAM BATHHOUSE FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND
RECREATION.
WHEREAS, Gillam Pool Bathhouse is nearly fifty years old, and
WHEREAS, staff has been transporting children from the Gillam Pool vicinity to other
pools; and
WHEREAS, staff implemented the 1995 bond issue of $500,000 which upgraded an aged
swimming pool and mechanical pump room at Gillam Park; and
WHEREAS, the pool house, which includes rest rooms, changing rooms and showers need
upgrading, and
WHEREAS, the Board provided $90,000 toward the Bathhouse remodeling.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LIT'T'LE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City (Tanager is authorized to provide additional funding to complete
construction for the Gillam Bathhouse and related improvements and to enter into a contract with
Delta, Inc., in an amount up to $135,000 for construction of the Gillam Bathhouse.
SECTION 2. Funding is available by transferring $50,000 from the 1995 Capital
Improvement Bond Fund account number 303 -230 -0384 to 303 - 230 -0351.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in fill force and effect fiom and after its adoption.
