A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXTEND THE CONTRACT WITH MEHLBURGER
ENGINEERS FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR KANIS
ROAD FROM 1 -430 TO JOHN BARROW ROAD.
WHEREAS, the City entered into an agreement with the Mehlburger Firm to provide the
necessary engineering services in the amount of $64,413.75; and
WHEREAS, at a meeting with the AFITD and the Federal Highway Administration, the City
was informed that it would have to follow the design work in a format consistent with AHTD format
in order for the project to be eligible for federal funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to extend the contract with Mehlburger
Engineers for additional engineering services due to the expanded project scope and redesign
necessary for federal funding for Kanis Road from 1 -430 to John Barrow Road.
SECTION 2. Funding in the amount of $53,675.69 is authorized by Ordinance No. 17,452.
Account number to be determined.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
