A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
PURCHASE THE FORMER R.E. LEE ELEMENTARY
SCHOOL AT 12TH AND PINE STREETS FOR USE AS A
MULTI- PURPOSE NEIGHBORHOOD RESOURCE CENTER.

WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock in conjunction with other Community Organizations
have begun a joint venture to establish an innovative citywide facility that will be dedicated to
identifying community issues, solving neighborhood problems, and building capacities within
community based organizations and neighborhood associations; and
WHEREAS, this facility will be located at a critically important neighborhood site, which is
the former Lee School, located at 12th and Pine Streets; and
WHEREAS, City Government and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock will make
significant resource commitments to the Center.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to purchase the former R.E. Lee Elementary
School at 12th and Pine Streets for use as a Multi - purpose Neighborhood Resource Center in the
amount of $1 plus closing costs.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
