2 RESOLUTION NO. 9.941
A RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO
PARTICIPATE WITH VARIOUS CORPORATIONS FROM THE
CENTRAL ARKANSAS AREA IN THE FUNDING OF A
COMMUNICATION AGE PROMOTIONAL PLAN.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock recognizes the changes that have occurred in
the global economy and would like to position itself to take advantage of that changing
economy; and
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock recognizes that the low earnings level of
people within the community are below the national earnings level; and
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock recognizes that Communication Age
Industries' earnings levels are considerably higher than that of the average industries in
the Little Rock area; and
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock recognizes that there are numerous high
paying jobs available in those market areas to be defined in the referenced
Communication Age Promotional Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock wants to take an active leadership role in
the development of jobs that will create opportunity for its citizens by participating in the
development and implementation of a Communication Age Promotional Plan.

SECTION 2. The City Manager is directed to participate with various
corporations from the central Arkansas area in the partial funding of a Communication
Age Promotional Plan in a timely manner.
SECTION 3. The City Manager is directed to identify funds in the amount of 150
$50,000 to be deposited in an escrow account which will be directed by an escrow
agreement for the purpose of assisting with funding a Communication Age Promotional
Plan.
