RESOLUTION NO. 9_938
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ASSIST RESIDENTS IN AREAS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK RECEIVING STORM DAMAGE MARCH 1, 1997, BY
WAIVING BUILDING PERMIT FEES AND LANDFILL FEES;
AUTHORIZING BURNING AND ENTRY ONTO PRIVATE
PROPERTY WITH SIGNED RELEASES; AND OTHER ACTIONS
AS APPROPRIATE.
WHEREAS, certain sections of the City of Little Rock received stone damage as
a result of tornados, high winds, and heavy rains on March 1, 1997; and
WHEREAS, there is a need for speedy clean-up of debris for health and safety
reasons in the storm damaged areas of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to waive building permit fees and
landfill fees; and is authorized to allow burning and entry onto private property with a
signed release as long as health and safety concerns exist in areas of the City.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to take all other actions related to
storm damage recovery as he deems appropriate.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption.
