98991 2 r 47 3 RESOLUTION NO. 9.899 4 5 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO 6 7 ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH GRIMES CONSULTING 8 ENGINEERS, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $30,842 TO PROVIDE 9 ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF 10 11 SPRINGER BOULEVARD FROM GILLAM PARK ROAD TO 12 THE UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD, AND FOR THE PLATTING 13 14 OF THREE LOTS ON THE NORTH SIDE OF WEST 23RD 15 STREET EAST OF WALKER STREET FOR THE 16 CONSTRUCTION OF AFFORDABLE HOMES, A 22ND YEAR 17 18 CDBG PROJECT. 19 20 WHEREAS, the project is consistent with the City's Consolidated Plan; and 21 22 WHEREAS, $281,460 was allocated by the Board in the CDBG 22nd Year 23 Program for engineering and constriction of the described package of public facilities 24 25 improvements in the Granite Mountain and John Barrow Road Redevelopment 26 (CDBG) areas. 27 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF 28 29 DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 30 SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with 31 Grimes Consulting Engineers, Inc., the most qualified bidder meeting specifications, 32 33 in an amount not to exceed $30,482 to provide engineering services for the 34 reconstruction of Springer Boulevard from Gillam Park Road to the Union Pacific 35 36 Railroad right -of -way, and for the platting of three lots on the north side of West 23rd 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 Street east of Walker Street for the construction of affordable homes, and the design of related infrastructure adjacent to the lots. SECTION 2. Funding in the amount of $30,842 is available for engineeringg from the Community Development Block Grant Program and is budgeted for in the 22nd Year Consolidated Plan.
