RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ACCEPT BIDS AND AWARD A
CONTRACT TO MICRO COMPUTER
TECHNOLOGIES FOR THE PURCHASE OF A
DIGITAL IMAGING SYSTEM FOR THE
LITTLE ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, the Digital Imaging System will be operated in the
Police Department's Support Services Division; and
WHEREAS, the system uses digital cameras that operate like
traditional cameras but download computer generated photographs
into a data base; and
WHEREAS, this technology will improve the efficiency,
quality, and cost effectiveness of the department's photography
function.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to accept bids
and award a contract to Micro Computer Technologies of Little
Rock, Arkansas, in an amount not to exceed $77,891.15 for the
purchase of a digital imaging system for the Little Rock Police
Department.
SECTION 2. Funds are available for this purchase from the
prior year carry over account.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
