98331 2 3 4 RESOLUTION NO. 9,833 636 5 U 6 7 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO 8 ENTER INTO A CONSULTANT CONTRACT WITH 9 WITTENBERG, DELONY a DAVIDSON ARCHITECTURAL 10 FIRM FOR THE PROGRAMCENG SERVICES STUDY TO 11 EVALUATE THE NEED FOR A NEW CITY /COUNTY 12 JUSTICE CENTER AND A SECOND PHASE PHYSICAL 13 PLANNING STUDY. 14 15 WHEREAS, representatives from the City and County have met 16 and have agreed that it is desirable to pursue the study of a 17 joint venture of the City /County Justice Center; and 18 WHEREAS, the idea is to consolidate justice functions into 19 a single center with a focus on combining police headquarters 20 with the courts; and 21 WHEREAS, the study will review combining the County 22 Sheriffs Administrative Office and the Pulaski County Municipal 23 Court Operations including the Juvenile Section; and 24 WHEREAS, the City Police Department Headquarters would 25 include Administration, record keeping and detection. 26 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 27 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 28 SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a 29 consultant contract with Wittenberg, Delany & Davidson 30 Architectural Firm, in the amount of $49,000, for the 31 Programming Services Study to evaluate the need for a new 32 City /County Justice Center. The second phase Physical Planning 33 Study is optional. 34 SECTION 2. Funding for this purpose will be provided by the 35 County and the City.
