A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ACCEPT BIDS AND AWARD A 5 O O
CONTRACT TO FINN CORPORATION FOR THE
PURCHASE OF A HYDROSEEDER FOR USE AT
THE CITY LANDFILL.
WHEREAS, landfill disposal and development is an ongoing
process requiring new surfaces to be exposed regularly over the
life of the landfill; and
WHEREAS, all slopes and finished soil surfaces at the
landfill are required to be seeded and fertilized to prevent
washing of silt into drainage structures; and
WHEREAS, the landfill hydroseeder is the equipment
necessary for this maintenance; and
WHEREAS, such maintenance prevents damage to the
environment and is a condition of our landfill permit from the
Arkansas Department of Pollution Control and Ecology.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to accept bids
and award a contract to Finn Corporation of Fairfield, Ohio, the
low bidder meeting specifications, in an amount not to exceed
$25,993 for the purchase of a hydroseeder for use at the
Landfill.
SECTION 2. Funds are available for this purpose in account
number 603 -220- 2120 -7040.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
