A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASE OF TWO PASSENGER VANS AND
THREE PICKUPS UNDER THE NEW STATE
CONTRACT FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF FLEET
SERVICES.

WHEREAS, specifications developed by the State of Arkansas
meet the functional needs of the City; and
WHEREAS, the purchase of nonspecialized vehicles off the
State contract will be more cost efficient than the 1995
acquisitions which were purchased from the formal bid process.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a
contract with Little Rock Dodge for the purchase of two (2) one
ton passenger vans and three (3) one -half ton pickups in the
amount of $80,595 for the Department of Fleet Services.
SECTION 2. Funds are available for this purpose in account
number 600 - 360 - 6020- 6021 -7060.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
