A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO RENEW THE CONTRACT WITH
PROTECTIVE LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY TO
PROVIDE LONG TERM DISABILITY
INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR NON - UNIFORM
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK EMPLOYEES FOR A
TWO YEAR PERIOD EFFECTIVE MAY 1,
1996.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock provides long -term
disability insurance coverage for regular full -time non- uniform
employees; and
WHEREAS, the current provider of that coverage has proposed
renewal of the contract with a two year rate guarantee; and
WHEREAS, this renewal proposal has been thoroughly reviewed
and recommended by staff.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to renew the
contract with Protective Life Insurance Company to provide long
term disability insurance coverage for non - uniform City of
Little Rock employees for a two year period, effective May 1,
1996.
