RESOLUTION NO. 9,579
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE INTENT OF THE LITTLE
ROCK BOARD OF DIRECTORS TO AUTHORIZE A WATER LINE
EASENENT OVER CITY PROPERTY IN EXCHANGE FOR THE
CONVEYANCE OF LAND TO THE CITY; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Wrape Family Charitable Trust owns property
on Baseline Road adjacent to the west boundary line of the
Southwest Community Center Complex; and
WHEREAS, a representative of the trust has requested a
water line easement over City property at the common boundary
line; and
WHEREAS, negotiations with the trust representative have
concluded that in consideration of the easement, the trust
will convey approximately one - quarter acre of its land to the
City; and
WHEREAS, said transaction is deemed to be reasonable and
in the best interests of the public health, safety and
welfare.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LITTLE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board approves the transaction between
the Wrape Family Charitable Trust and the City of Little
Rock, whereby the City will convey a water line easement on a
form acceptable to the Waterworks and the City Attorney, in
exchange for the conveyance by the Wrape Family Trust Of
approximately one - quarter acre of its land to the City, to be
described in a deed of conveyance approved by the City
Attorney.
