A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ALLOCATE $100,000 FROM
THE 1995 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BOND
FUND FOR THE STAGECOACH SOCCER
COMPLEX; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT
WITH CARTER - BURGESS IN THE AMOUNT OF
$87,380 FOR ARCHITECTURAL AND
ENGINEERING CONSULTANT SERVICES FOR
THE STAGECOACH SOCCER COMPLEX.
WHEREAS, Stagecoach Soccer Complex has been made possible
by a land donation of 147 acres from the Stagecoach Road Joint
Venture in 1993 to the Parks and Recreation Department; and
WHEREAS, the land is suitable for soccer field development
and other active recreational programs; and
WHEREAS, the location of this facility will serve West
Little Rock's demand for soccer fields, considering the limited
availability of gentle terrain in this part of this City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK., ARKANSAS :,
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to allocate
$100,000 from the 1995 Capital Improvement Bond Fund for the
Stagecoach Soccer Complex.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a
contract with Carter - Burgess in the amount of $87,830 for
architectural and engineering consultant services for the
Stagecoach Soccer Complex.
SECTION 3. Funding for this project is available from the
1995 Capital Improvement Bond Fund.
