$ FUNDS TO LITTLE ROCK COMMUNITY
9 MENTAL HEALTH CENTER FOR RENOVATION

13 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Community Mental Health Center
14 currently owns the property located at 105 South Battery Street
and has applied for $106,100 in HOME funds to renovate the three
15
16 (3) structures at the site for use as eight (8) single family
occupancy units, one (1) one - bedroom unit and one (1) three
17 bedroom unit for low- income homeless tenants with mental
18 disabilities; and
19 WHEREAS, the project has been reviewed and recommended for
20 funding by the Project Review Committee; and
21 WHEREAS, there have been no neighborhood objections to the
22 development and the renovations should help to improve
23 surrounding property values; and
24 WHEREAS, the proposal is consistent with the City's
25 Consolidated Plan which was developed with extensive citizen
26 participation.
27 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
28 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
29 SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an
30 agreement to provide $106,100 in HOME Program funds to Little
31 Rock Community Mental Health Center for renovation of the three
32 (3) structures at 105 South Battery Street.
33 SECTION 2. Funding in the amount of $106,100 is available
34 from the HOME Program.
