RESOLUTION NO. 9.547
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK
TO EXECUTE A WARRANTY DEED CONVEYING THE CITY'S
INTEREST IN THREE VACANT CITY LOTS AT 13TH AND
CENTER STREETS TO WAYNE E. SIMPSON; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Lots 1, 2 and 3, Block 168, Original City of
Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, are three vacant
tracts of land at the intersection of 13th and Center Streets
which were donated to the City in January, 1963; and
WHEREAS, the City has received an offer to purchase the
property from Wayne E. Simpson, the adjacent homeowner; and
WHEREAS, the amount of Seven Thousand Dollars
($7,000.00) offered for the parcels approximates the fair
market value of the property; and
WHEREAS, the City has no public purpose to use the
property, and it is in the best interest of the citizens of
the City to sell the lots to Mr. Simpson.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS;
SECTION 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized to execute a Warrant Deed to Wayne E. Simpson, to
convey the City's interest in property located at 13th and
Center Streets, for the amount of Seven Thousand Dollars
($7,000.00).
SECTION 2. Proceeds from the sale of this property shall
be deposited in the City's right -of -way account number
210- 200 -0028.
